Llyra Tier 10 at last
Every other Shaman-related website and forum in the world has the picture, so here’s a picture of Graham Elliot Bowles instead.
From NBC Chicago. What you aren’t seeing in this picture are the itty-bitty boyshorts he’s wearing. I dare you to follow the link.My thoughts? Bowles looks likes he enjoys his lunches. And probably should invest some of his vast supplies of cash in fixing the buttons on that shirt. I hope he’s not in the kitchen like that.
As for the armor, I like it a lot. Very animalistic, which is in keeping with the real Shamans of the world. It looks like there’s some kind of stag head effect that will play on the shoulders periodically, too.
I’m even excited about the helmet. I believe that’s a first.
Ok, so consider the delay acceptable. It was worth it.

The Shaman 10 gear should definitly be modelled on Graham Elliot Bowles and his choice of attire.
You don't think it's a bit ghetto druid? I'm used to more elemental motifs than nature.
Nah. Druids haven't been particularly animalistic since vanilla. I view this as more of a correction than anything else. Let Druids have animism, I'll take animalism. If you were to see a dude dressed up like this in real life, you'd probably think Shaman or witch doctor.
Err, by this I mean the T10 armor. Not Graham Elliot Bowles. Bowles makes me think "bear."
It took a little examination to see the scales, though. Before that I thought it looked a little leathery. I'd be pleased to see the "mail" aspect punched up a tiny bit.
two words
Toothless Predator
;-)
Witchdoctor is exactly what I'm thinking. I've been scoping out wowwiki as I level my pally and play with RP scenarios and history in my head. While turning a quest in at Thunderbluff I believe I overheard some Taurens (druids? shamans?) discussing how "it is always darkest before the dawn" and it seemed to fit so perfectly with the very dark aspect of this earthy looking tier set. I love it. Definitely brings to mind shamans as spirit walkers and speakers with the dead. IC is going to involve a lot of death. ;)
